Scholarship for Graduate Study in Nova Scotia:
For two years, the Master’s level award is worth $10,000 per year (subject to annual renewal).
Awards at the doctoral level are worth $15,000 annually for a period of four years (annual renewal subject).
Predoctoral Killam Scholarships:
Master’s (Level 1): Up to $42,000 annually for a maximum of two years, plus $2,500 for foreign tuition and, if necessary, relocation assistance
Doctorate (Level 2): Up to $42,000 annually for a maximum of three years, including any necessary relocation expenses.
For a 12-month academic year, the prize is worth $19,000 for master’s degrees and $21,000 for doctoral degrees (one or two grants annually).
Abdulmajid Bader Scholarship for Graduate Study:
The scholarship is worth $40,000 for a complete academic year lasting 12 months. The scholarship is reevaluable every year, contingent upon satisfactory success.
The recipient of the prize may study full-time for up to 24 months during that time.
There is no waiver of fees; they must be deducted from the reward.

How to Apply :
- Access the FGS Scholarship Management Platform by logging in. To log in, please select “Use Dalhousie NetID” if you already have one. If not, kindly set up a password and enter your email address. Even if you plan to apply to more than one opportunity, you only need to register one account.
- Using the “My applications” list on your home page, you may either create a new scholarship application or make changes to an existing one. Please do not submit more than one Harmonized Scholarship application for a competition; each applicant will only be allowed to submit one application.
- Master’s candidates may elect to use their CGS-M application through the Harmonized Scholarship Process if they have applied for the Tri-Agency CGS-M competition. To accomplish this, please go through the application and choose “Master’s Level – CGS-M Opt-In” as the submission category. The reference letters and transcripts you turned in for the Tri-Agency CGSM competition will be linked to your opt-in form by the Faculty of Graduate Studies along with your CGS-M application. December 1st is the Opt-in deadline (which also happens to be Tri-Agency’s deadline for CGS-M applications). To be eligible for additional rewards, you must submit a complete Harmonized Scholarship Application if you choose not to opt-in with your CGS-M application.
- It is recommended that all applicants fill out the self-identification form available on the online scholarship platform. This enables administrators to make sure that candidates are grouped according to specified eligibility requirements and sent through the review process for award chances. Reviewers cannot see the information you enter in this questionnaire, and it will be kept completely private.
- To proceed through the application, click “Next” at the bottom of each page. After selecting “Save,” the applicant can exit the application and come back to it at a later time to make changes or updates.
