Scholarships in Ireland
A chance for students who wish to continue their study in Ireland. International students can apply for the Government of Ireland Scholarship (GOI-IES 2024) for the 2024–2025 academic year.
The Department of Higher Education, Research, Innovation, and Science is a national effort that offers Ireland Government Scholarships in Europe for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs. Students from all nations, regardless of gender, race, or nationality, are eligible for equal opportunities under the Government of Ireland Scholarship 2024 (GOI-IES). These International Education Scholarships (IES) are being offered by the Irish Government to exceptionally gifted students who are interested in postgraduate work and research for development. Under the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship program, recipients will receive significant awards for their exceptional research in a variety of fields.
Applications for the GOI-IES program 2024 are strongly encouraged from candidates whose research interests are in developing disciplines that incorporate creative innovation. In Europe, fully financed scholarships are extremely competitive; the past five years have shown a just 18% success rate. Those who are able to obtain money for European scholarships will be acknowledged as future world-class research leaders. This Government of Ireland (GOI-IES) Scholarship is being funded by a number of government departments and agencies, including the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration, and Youth; the Department of Foreign Affairs; and the Environment Protection Agency.
- To be eligible for the Government of Ireland Scholarship 2024, applicants must reside outside of the EU, EEA, Switzerland, or the UK.
- They have to make sure they are eligible before applying to the appropriate scholarship and program.
- Applications may be submitted by those who obtain an offer from an Irish university that qualifies.
- Candidates need to be in the category of international students who pay fees.
- Applications are to be filed in either English or Irish.
- Referees and supervisors are required to give a favorable report on the application.
- Those who applied for the Ireland government scholarship and were rejected twice are not eligible to reapply for the same program.
- Additionally, candidates cannot have received an Irish Research Council scholarship in the past.
